Happy new year to all! We’re happy to announce two exciting upcoming events -- one very soon, the other still “down the road” but shaping up nicely.
First, we urge all Caucus members to attend the busy roster of QCA events scheduled for the February CAA conference in New York City, which are listed in this newsletter -- including the paper session, publishing panel, reception, and business meeting (see conference program for exact final details). And please reserve Friday night, February 21, when we will be hosting two, count ’em two, back-to-back parties. From 5:00-7:00 p.m., the QCA art exhibition will have its formal opening at the LGBT Community Center in Greenwich Village, and then you’re just a short subway ride away from the reception for all Caucus members and friends that will begin about 8:00 at the home of co-chair Jim Saslow (119 West 71st Street, Apt. #6B, 212-873-3096; #1, 2, 3, 9, B, C trains to 72nd Street, and walk around the block). Come later if you’ve got dinner plans, or come early and make it a dinner stop before your late-night whatever -- there’ll be lots of food and drink, and both of us look forward to seeing you there.
As for long-range plans, we’re delighted to announce that the Caucus-sponsored conference scheduled for November 2004 has assembled a stellar organizing committee. Those who have agreed to serve on the committee to make detailed plans for the conference, tentatively titled “Intersexions: Queer Art at the Global Crossroads,” include:
We look forward to seeing you next month in New York!
