The Lambda Literary Foundation has announced the finalists for its 13th annual Lambda Literary Awards for excellence in gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered literature.

Harmony Hammondís Lesbian art in America (Rizzoli) has been nominated in two categories: Visual Arts and Lesbian Studies. Other titles in the Visual Arts category are Stars in my eyes by Don Bachardy (University of Wisconsin), Black and white men by James Spada (Pond Street Press), Faeries by Keri Pickett (FS&G), and As I see it by Greg Gorman (powerHouse).

Other art-related titles include The girls: Sappho goes to Hollywood by Diana McClellan (St. Martins) and Girl reel by Bonnie J. Morris (Coffeehouse), both in the category of Lesbian Studies, and Post-dykes to watch out for by Alison Bechdel (Firebrand) which competes in the Humor section.

The winners will be announced at an event to be held at the Chicago Mart Plaza in Chicago, IL, on May 31, 2000. Tickets to the reception and Gala Banquet are $125 each.
